Held in one of Australia’s most spectacular regions, the Whitsunday Coast in the waters of Pioneer Bay and the Whitsunday Passage, Airlie Beach Race Week gives yachts competing in the popular Hamilton Island Race Week an opportunity to hone their gear and test their sailing skills against each other. The Category “5″ racing event is held over 8 days and includes at least one lay day in the middle of the week allowing for crew to enjoy lazing around the lagoon pool in town or to have a few quite ales at one of the numerous bars.

Racing is varied between a range of windward / leeward races, an around the island races and finishing up with the “long race” which includes a clutch of Whitsunday islands including South Molle, Daydream, Cones, Armit and others.
