Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race
Often included as one of the must do 10 things in people’s lives. Rated as one of the worlds most challenging yacht races. What a buzz on the dock at the CYCA with friends, family and media all in awe of you the offshore racing challenger. The start of the race provides a magnificent spectacle with media helicopters, hundreds of spectator boats and an estimated 600,000 people watching. Down the harbour and out the heads is a real rush. Having settled in, there will be a long haul down the east coast of Australia towards Eden, known as the jump off spot to cross the infamous 200nm Bass Strait. Onward down the east coast of Tasmania towards Storm Bay and then the fluky Derwent river finish. Over 600nm of fantastic competition.
Training: For 5 days in the week leading up to race day
Approximate Race Duration: 4 days
Inclusions: PFD, Safety gear, food, training and preparation days, race entry fee, insurance, fuel, berthing fees. Documentation.
Exclusions: Travel, accommodation, personal epirbs and wet weather gear.
